MULTI-SENSOR FUSION

Thermal, optical, and ranging data are processed on-device and fused into a single track. The system correlates signals across sensors to confirm a target and filter out noise before it reaches the operator.

DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Every variant is built on a vertically integrated platform: custom carrier board for NVIDIA Jetson Orin SOM, in-house software and AI models, integrated MANET/RF wireless communication modules — ensuring full control over the technology stack.

MAN-PORTABLE BY DESIGN

The mechanical design is broken into modular, man-portable components that can be assembled by a small team in the field without heavy equipment or vehicles.

PASSIVE RADAR INTEGRATION

The cooled FX-Hawk variants are designed for integration with passive radar networks, enabling sensor-fused counter-drone and maritime surveillance operations.

TACTICAL COMMUNICATIONS

Cooled variants include cutting-edge MANET/RF wireless modules for mesh-networked, software-defined radio communication in the field. Multiple camera nodes form self-healing mesh networks for distributed surveillance.

FIBER-OPTIC VIDEO BACKBONE

Output video and control data over fiber optic (SFP/SFP+) interfaces on the carrier board, enabling long-distance, EMI-immune, tap-resistant connectivity between camera and command post.

AI-NATIVE BY DEFAULT

Every FX-Ground product ships with the Jetson Orin compute module and a proprietary AI stack. AI-powered detection, classification, tracking, and fusion are standard.

VERTICALLY INTEGRATED

All variants include a custom carrier board with integrated software: control server, operator UI, ONVIF stack, and AI models, plus MANET/RF wireless. No dependency on third-party software or comms stacks.

UNCOOLED VS COOLED VARIANTS

The uncooled variants use vanadium oxide (VOx) microbolometer detectors operating in the 8–14 μm LWIR band. They require no cryogenic cooling, providing instant-on capability, zero cooler maintenance, and lower unit cost.

The cooled variants use InSb or HgCdTe (MCT) MWIR detectors operating in the 3–5 μm band with Stirling micro-coolers at ~77K. The MWIR band provides superior contrast for small, hot targets — drone motors, exhaust plumes, jet engines, fast craft — against cold sky or sea backgrounds.

CLASSIFICATION: Fine-grained classification including threat cues such as armed/unarmed, vehicle type, and group behaviour.

TRACKING: Persistent tracking with ID continuity across frames and cross-camera handoff over the mesh.

BASELINE: Unsupervised learning of site-specific pattern-of-life built continuously from observed activity.

ANOMALY: Deviation from learned baseline triggers alerts, filtering out routine activity and noise.

CORRELATION: Multi-sensor fusion and mesh-level sharing of detections to produce high-confidence events.

STORAGE: Local rolling buffer for forensic review
